paul's bro, dad, and his uncle were here for the weekend. actually his uncle dave came last tuesday and just left this morning. he is a handyman and updated all of our electrical, which is awesome. on friday, the guys raked all of our leaves and then cut down TONS of brush. my guess is that the yard hadn't been addressed in at least 15-20 years. many of our neighbors stopped by and commented on this. it was great help. and then saturday the guys worked for 8 hours going back and forth to the compost pile and did about 9 loads with the truck.
so that was our weekend! lucy and i got our h1n1 shot on saturday so we should be somewhat immune by next weekend, so that is great.
that's all for today!

guess i forgot to post yesterday. i will post something better later on today. but for now, get your questions in so i can give something away....back to monday!
since i have a LONG way left to go in november, i am going to do a giveaway because i passed 20,000 visits a long time ago but it was when my life was chaos with moving. so in order to be in my giveaway, you need to leave a comment and ask me a question. i will follow up with a post that answers all of the questions. please leave your question by monday night at midnight~
i have finally updated my blog with the new header from jessica. she took the pics and then made me a new header. i am not sold on the purple background though, should i change it? ideas?
and here are a couple of my favorite pics from the photo shoot we did. lucy did NOT cooperate, but she is still cute! thanks jessica!
blogging every day is A LOT more work than you would think! TGIF
i wasn't sure what to post today, but when paul and lucy came into my office this morning to show me something. i knew EXACTLY what i was going to post...lucy and paul were painting and she decided she wanted to be just like dad...i guess some boys play with dolls and some girls want beards like their dad!
i am still waiting for that feeling this pregnancy where i feel GREAT or have the 2nd trimester where i have the glow. it's just not happening. i am almost 21 weeks now and still exhausted all the time. i'm sure some of it has to do with the fact that we moved, are unpacking, have about 6 house projects going on, busy work days, and a highly energetic 2 year old. but other than that, my life is pretty boring HA.
i was thinking today that in 6 weeks of living here, we have had a contractor, furnace installer, or people working on our house pretty much for 5 of the 6 weeks. now on one hand, this is great news. but the downside is that i'm home working too and paul is home with lucy so we are just always in the chaos. i do need to get some before and after pics of what we have been doing...maybe that will make me feel better about it all. and i KNOW that by the time march is here and #2 arrives we will have NO time to do anything other than try to sleep!
okay, enough of my tiredness...it's 830 and i'm going to bed...
wow, it's only the 3rd day of november and i almost missed blogging.
all that i have to today to report is that lucy was up with a fever last night, ugh. i HOPE she isn't up again tonight and then some pics from halloween. it was a good night. my parents were in town as well as my bro and his fiance mollie over at our house. we walked up and down the street and that was good enough.
enjoy the shots!
paul dressed as sponge bob...so hilarious!
lucy the monkey with gracie as a monkey too :)
the three of us heading out. and yes those are ALL OUR LEAVES IN OUR FRONT YARD...please note the backyard is just as full as well!
last friday i had my 20 week ultrasound and all went well. i didn't really get too nervous until thursday night. i didn't sleep very much as i kept worrying about how i would handle any news that something was wrong. we don't have the healthy baby in our arms yet, but everything measured and looked good so far. the baby measured 2 days ahead and on target. we were able to see some 3d shots as well...crazy!
this pregnancy seems different than the last. i am feeling crappy still at night. if i push myself too hard or stay up past like 8 i start feeling nauseous. ugh. and i am always hungry but NOTHING sounds good. so that is really fun. :-)
anyway, here are some of the shots of baby #2.
so there it is. the baby is breech right now, but has some time to flip. also makes sense why i feel like there is tap dancing going on down on my bladder. :-). i love the one of the legs crossed...just looks like relaxed and comfy.
i haven't fully decided if i'm more excited, scared, nervous, or relieved that i am past the 20 week mark!
